ICC Cricket Ranking/Rating

At the time when the International Cricket Council was formed, the only type of cricket they were played is the test cricket and the number of countries are limited. After the ICC formed the development of cricket takes place world wide as a result this game was not limited to some countries only. Then the concept of the ranking was introduced to give the order for the members. Good playing teams with high win-loss ratio have high rating and high point as a result the ranking will be top. Inversely team with the low win-loss ratio will have the low points as result lower ranking. There are different factors affecting the team ranking, the main thing is the win-loss ratio. The ICC cricket ranking not only provides the ranking of the teams only but it also provides the ranking of the batsmen, bowlers and all arrounders. One must have to know that the high points must have the higher rating and top ranking, the ranking is based on the rating of the each team. When the team win the match it increases the team rating and when the team loss the match then the rating decreases. When the team will win the match with the team with the higher ranking team then the rating will increase with the greater rate where as when the team will win the match with the team with lower ranking the rating will increase with the lower rate.

International Cricket Council (ICC)

International Cricket Council (ICC) is the governing body of the cricket for the whole world. It was formed as the Imperial Cricket Conference in June 15, 1909 by the representatives from the different countries England, Australia and South Africa and in 1965 it was renamed and called as the International Cricket Council. The motto if ICC is “Great Sport Great Sprit”. ICC has the member of 106 countries. Out of the total 106 members, they are divided into different groups depending upon the team performance. They are 10 full members, they play official test matches, but now the full member is 12, where the two new teams Ireland and Afghanistan are included in the ICC full member since January 2015. Others are 37 Associate members and they are further divided into different division from Division 1 to Division 5. And the final one is 59 Affiliate members. Super Six Cricket

This is another shorter form of the cricket. In test, ODI and T20 each team have the total 11 playing member but in super six format the total player is six for each team. In this type of format each team will play for the six overs for fielding and six over for the batting. This six over is the maximum over giver to each team. But the total over played by the team will depend upon the performance of the team. If the team is batting and if the five batsmen are out then the team can’t play for the all six overs. Similarly when the team is fielding and they have some target that giver by the opponent team then when this team will find the target before the six over then the current over at which the team win the match is the total over played by that team. Since the time is short and the single match will complete in just the one hour, this format is famous to the people, but there haven’t any international matches for this format of cricket under the International Cricket Council (ICC).

T20

T20 is one of the most famous formats of cricket now a day worldwide. T20 is sometime called as the Twenty20 cricket or Twenty-20. It is the short form of the cricket. In this type of format each team will play for 20 overs for fielding/bowling and 20 overs for batting. Since the period of T20 match is short in comparison to ODI and Test and the whole game will complete in just the three hours, this type of cricket is very popular. Because of the limited overs and batsman goes for the big shorts for four & sixes, the match is more interested to watch. There is always require to put the big score on the scoreboard, the batsman is always go for the more run, so there is also the more chance to get out the batsman. This makes the match more interesting and many people enjoy watching this format of cricket. This type of cricket is also played with a white ball and the duration of the time is day or the night. From the starting days this type of cricket is played with the colored jersey.

One Day International

This format of cricket was introduced on later 1970s after the test cricket is modified into limited over cricket. Since the test cricket is played for the five days as a result people have less interest to see it so the over was reduced as a result this format of cricket was introduced. This format of cricket is only played for the only one day and for the international matches it is called as a One day International and shortly ODI. In this format of cricket both the team will played for the one day including the 50 overs to bowling/fielding and 50 overs for the batting. At the starting matches of the ODI matches both the team has the white jersey but after 1979 both team started to have the different and colored jersey. The first cricket match with the colored jersey was WSC Australians with the Gold color vs. WSC West Indians with coral pink. Now days all the ODI matches are played with the colored jersey. In this format of cricket white colored ball is used to bowling and this type of cricket is also played at the night times.
