International Cricket Council (ICC)

International Cricket Council (ICC) is the governing body of the cricket for the whole world. It was formed as the Imperial Cricket Conference in June 15, 1909 by the representatives from the different countries England, Australia and South Africa and in 1965 it was renamed and called as the International Cricket Council. The motto if ICC is “Great Sport Great Sprit”. ICC has the member of 106 countries. Out of the total 106 members, they are divided into different groups depending upon the team performance. They are 10 full members, they play official test matches, but now the full member is 12, where the two new teams Ireland and Afghanistan are included in the ICC full member since January 2015. Others are 37 Associate members and they are further divided into different division from Division 1 to Division 5. And the final one is 59 Affiliate members. The  headquarter of the ICC is located at Dubai city of the United Arab Emirates.
